Microcender Petzl Ascender
The Microcender completely encloses the rope and is a great alternative to a prusik for ascending or hauling in emergency rescue situations. It is very compact and easily tucks away in a pocket when not in use. The cam is forgiving and will slip rather than damage or start shearing the rope. The behaviour of the cam is affected as well by the condition of the rope. Not intended for fall arresting.
Use with ropes 9-13mm.
